Binky Fairy Came to Visit!

I wasn't proud. It's one of those things you know you're supposed to do but . . .

Friday was the day we decided the binky fairy should come visit. I begin telling the twins about the binky fairy. She is the one that comes and takes binkies away from big girls and takes them to babies who are crying and really, really need them. You know, babies that can't talk and tell their mommies what they need, etc. I told them how the binky fairy always leaves something the child really, really wants under their pillow to thank them for caring about others so much to give up something they really treasured. Bella was like, "hey, sounds cool to me" and goes fast asleep without so much as a tear. After all, she's just here for the party. Love that kid.

Well, Alexandra was not feeling the least bit philanthropic. She didn't care about her fellow human wanting and needing a binky, was not interested in toys nor was she attached to her current "big girl" status. It was painful for her. I lied down with her for a very long time. I tried to leave but she would just cry and cry. In talking to her I had her imagine what the binky fairy might bring her. Are you ready for this: "A purple music! The binky fairy is going to bring me a purple music."

For. Real?

So the binky fairy awoke at 6:30AM to head to Walmart (yes even the binky fairy has been forced to big box it!) in search for a "purple music." I (I mean the binky fairy) found Annabella something quickly. She likes pretty much anything with a kitty. It was looking like Alexandra was going to get a purple baby (which crying can kind of seem like music, right? ok, not but what the heck is a purple music??????) when I stumbled upon a $5 PURPLE Hannah Montana keychain shaped like a piano (a PURPLE piano) that plays "Nobody's Perfect." How GREAT is our God?????

Here are pictures of the girls with their binky fairy finds. All is well in Cagle Land.
